Welcome to HotShot. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the hotshot.cam website, the HotShot iOS app, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use the Service. By using HotShot you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to photos you upload or capture using HotShot ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of generating AI-styled output and delivering it back to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it for training AI models.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Upload content that is illegal, harassing, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Upload content depicting minors in any sexually suggestive context
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse prevention, or App Check
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to build a competing AI photo product

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

5. AI-generated output

HotShot uses third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini) to generate stylized versions of your photos. AI output may contain artifacts, distortions, or unexpected elements. You are responsible for reviewing output before sharing or publishing it.

6. Pricing and purchases

7. Intellectual property

The HotShot name, logo, app, website, and underlying technology are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $50 USD, whichever is greater).

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability) will survive.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law
